1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Schdlr ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Schdlr provides an online platform that allows clients to book appointments with service providers (including barbers, salons, nail technicians, massage therapists, and other personal care professionals) and enables service providers to manage appointments, availability, staff, and client communications.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Schdlr. Service providers must have a valid business license or operate as independent contractors in accordance with applicable laws.

3.1 Identity Verification

Some service providers on Schdlr operate from private studio locations and require identity verification for safety and security purposes. By booking at these locations, you consent to:

Submitting government-issued identification (such as a driver's license or passport)
Providing a facial biometric scan (selfie) for identity matching
Verification processing by our partner, Stripe Identity

Failure to complete identity verification will prevent you from booking appointments at private studio locations that require verification.

Important: Providing false identification documents, using another person's identity, or attempting to circumvent the verification process will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to law enforcement authorities.

4. User Accounts

All users (both service providers and clients) are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials
All activities that occur under their account
Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized access

Service providers are responsible for the actions of their staff members who are granted access to their business account.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Service providers may subscribe to Schdlr at $5 per staff member per month, billed through Stripe.

Subscription Terms:

14-day free trial with no credit card required
Subscriptions auto-renew monthly until cancelled
You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
No refunds for partial months or unused time
Additional charges ($1.50 per booking) may apply for identity verification services when clients book at private studios requiring verification

By subscribing, you authorize Schdlr to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel through your account settings.

Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your complete credit card information.

6. Appointments & Cancellations

Clients are responsible for:

Booking accurate appointment times and selecting appropriate services
Arriving on time for scheduled appointments
Completing any required identity verification for private studio bookings

Service Providers may:

Define their own cancellation and rescheduling policies
Accept or decline appointment requests
Set their own pricing for services
Require identity verification for bookings at private locations

Schdlr facilitates the booking process but is not responsible for disputes between clients and service providers regarding appointments, cancellations, or refunds.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Use Schdlr for any unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious activity
Provide false identity documents or impersonate another person
Attempt to access data, accounts, or systems not intended for you
Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
Post inappropriate, offensive, or explicit content
Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the platform without authorization
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
Interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, logos, trademarks, software, and materials associated with Schdlr are owned by Schdlr or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not:

Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform
Use our trademarks or branding without written permission
Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

Service providers retain ownership of their business information, photos, and service descriptions uploaded to the platform but grant Schdlr a license to display this content as necessary to operate the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

Schdlr makes no warranties regarding:

Availability, reliability, or accuracy of the Service
The quality or safety of services provided by independent service providers
The accuracy of business information, photos, or descriptions

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCHDLR IS NOT LIABLE FOR:

Lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
Damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service
Issues related to payment processing handled by third parties

9.1 Private Studio Bookings

Schdlr facilitates connections between clients and service providers but is NOT RESPONSIBLE for:

The safety, security, conduct, or qualifications of service providers or clients
Incidents, injuries, theft, or harm occurring at private studio locations or any service location
Accuracy of business addresses, photos, or service descriptions
Disputes between clients and service providers

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE:

Service providers on Schdlr are independent contractors, not employees or agents of Schdlr
You assume all risks when booking appointments, particularly at private locations
Identity verification does not guarantee safety or eliminate all risks
You should exercise your own judgment and caution when meeting service providers

Schdlr's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to Schdlr in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Schdlr, its officers, directors, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your violation of these Terms
Your use of the Service
Your violation of any third-party rights
Content you post or provide through the Service

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

You violate these Terms or our policies
You misuse the Service or engage in fraudulent activity
Required by law or to protect other users
Your account remains inactive for an extended period

Upon termination:

Your access to the Service will be immediately revoked
You remain liable for any outstanding fees or obligations
Certain provisions of these Terms (including liability limitations) survive termination

12. Changes to the Service or Terms

We reserve the right to:

Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time
Update these Terms as needed to reflect changes in our Service or legal requirements

We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Schdlr after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution: Before filing a formal claim, please contact us at [email protected] to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

Arbitration Agreement: Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Schdlr shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except where prohibited by law.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any legal action related to these Terms must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.

15. Miscellaneous

Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver.
Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Schdlr.
Assignment: You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to affiliates or successors.
